Al Mayeh App Privacy Policy

Abdulla Almehairbi ("the Developer") built AlMayeh ("the App") as a commercial application. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
The App collects the following information only when necessary to provide its core functionality:
• Location Data: If you grant permission, the App accesses your device's location to find the nearest tide station and provide local weather, wind, sun/moon, and fishing data. Your location is processed in real-time and is not stored on any external server.
• Search Queries: When you search for a location, the search text is sent to Apple's MapKit services to return results. These queries are not logged or stored by the Developer.
• Subscription Data: If you subscribe to AlMayeh Pro, Apple processes and stores your payment information. The Developer does not have access to your payment details, credit card number, or Apple ID.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone)
• No account creation or login required
• No browsing or usage analytics
• No advertising identifiers or ad tracking
• No cookies or web tracking technologies
3. Third-Party Services
The App communicates with the following third-party services to retrieve data. Only geographic coordinates are sent — no personal identifiers are transmitted:
• WorldTides API — tide prediction data
• Open-Meteo API — weather and wind data
• Apple WeatherKit — weather conditions
• Apple MapKit — location search results
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. The Developer is not responsible for the privacy practices of these services.
4. Data Storage & On-Device Processing
All app data (favorites, preferences, cached tide data, widget data) is stored locally on your device and within your iCloud account via App Groups for widget and Apple Watch synchronization. No data is transmitted to the Developer's servers.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since no personal data is collected, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.
6. Data Sharing
The Developer does not sell, trade, rent, or share your data with any third parties. No personal data is collected, so there is nothing to share.
7. Data Retention
Since no personal data is collected or stored on external servers, there is no data retention policy applicable. Locally cached data on your device can be cleared by deleting the App.
8. Your Rights
You can revoke location access at any time through your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. The App will continue to function using manual location search or the default location. You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App.
9. Security
The App uses HTTPS for all network communications with third-party APIs. Since no personal data is collected or stored externally, the risk of data breach is minimal.
10. Changes to This Policy
The Developer may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
